Pursuant to FTC regulations, I’ve put up this page of disclosures to make it perfectly clear when I’m writing on behalf of someone else.
To start with, there’s my Disclaimer page. Basically, everything I say over here is my opinion and not that of any employer or client, unless explicitly stated.
I am not a professionally trained career coach; nor do I work with any unemployment agency or recruiting firm. This blog is a project for which I have a passion to share job search advice and other items of interest to people looking to improve their careers.
With that in mind, take any advice shared on this website with the proverbial grain of salt; you are on your own to figure out if this is good for you in your situation.
Statement on Advertising
I am advertising on this website through Google Adsense as well as through sponsored links. If you’re interested in sponsoring a link on this website, please contact me with what you have in mind.
If I mention a product or service for which I receive a commission, it’s because I believe in that product or service enough to use an affiliate link. I am going to try to make money off of you with the use of affiliate links. I’ll use Amazon, Linkshare, Commission Junction, Shareasale, and anyone else who will send some cash my way. It’s a good thing. You might want to do it, too.
From time to time, I may receive books or services for free, either solicited or unsolicited. Where possible, I may include that as I write about them here. You are welcome to send me items, but do not expect them to come back. If you send me something to review, I may review it or I may not – either way I do not guarantee the outcome of any review.
If your product or service sucks, I’ll say that. If you send your product electronically, I might not see it because of spam filters. If it’s tangible, I may misplace it in my home or may not find it until months later.
If I review something you sent me, I’ll disclose it – no exceptions. If it’s great, I’ll tell people. If not, I’ll still tell people. If it didn’t even inspire me, I might not remember to review it at all.
